2. A leather sole is going to wear down real fast, no? I’ve seen shoes with leather soles that already look worn while just sitting on the store shelf. Forget actually walking around in them. And no traction at all means they don’t work as shoes. I wouldn’t be able to walk around in them. They’d be shoes I’d use for sitting and only sitting. I get that dress shoes veer onto the side of form over function, but I’d still want my shoes to be shoes. If I’m slipping all over the place in shoes while on carpet, then it don’t matter how nice the shoes might look. I’ll still look a fool.
